The
Journey to Health and Balance
Our story is a common one. It started with a desire to
change; a desire to feel healthier, look healthier and obtain
a stable balance within all aspects of life. Our journey
began at the same beginning as yours. We wanted to start
living a life of balance because we knew it was possible,
yet accepted it would not be easy. This was the start of
Remember Your Health.
Within our story lie the many similar accounts of people
who go through their lives knowing they would be better
off if they simply exhibit healthier habits. It’s
a simple concept to convey but a difficult one to truly
apply to your daily routine. At this time in your life,
it may seem unrealistic that you could obtain a life of
balance. Many of us have only enough time and energy to
dedicate to certain areas of our lives that need the most
immediate attention which makes it more and more difficult
to focus on improving ourselves.
As a result of this struggle, Remember Your Health developed
The Basics—a book that turns what seems
to be a very difficult and time-consuming challenge into
a reality. This is accomplished by helping you see and
focus on the new image of what a balanced life can be.
The Basics book was created based on the recognition
that eight key areas of life are all integrated with each
other to create a balanced foundation, allowing you to
be healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and financially.
The ninth and core foundation block at the center of this
new healthy lifestyle is reflected in two different ways
through the two versions of the book—one book reflecting
a Spiritual core and the other exhibiting a Giving
Back core. The Basics guides you down a
path to balance providing you with simple principles to
live by in order to bring your life to its greatest resonance.
The Basics will act as your guide, a tool to
apply to situations in your everyday life, and it will
offer you a new way to look at what a healthy lifestyle
is and what a balanced life can be.
There are some challenges in life you just can’t
control. What The Basics does is helps you control
how you react to these situations in a positive and proactive
manner. The Basics book has three main themes:
an explanation of why individuals are not balanced, how
the transformation to becoming balance can take place
and separately, you are introduced to the "Basics"
which are the values and principles in life that lead
to balance, presented in a bullet-point format which can
be read as an affirmation or question. Aside from the
initial "Basic" bullets, each "Basic"
is more fully explained within each chapter’s “Deeper
Look” section which clearly identifies the relevance
and importance they hold in your daily life. Also included
are helpful tools which challenge you to stay realistic
about how balanced you really are but optimistic about
how much more balanced you can be. This flexible format
also provides you with space to personalize the changes
you may need to make and track your progress when necessary.
To obtain a life of healthy choices and stability is a
struggle; we share this common bond in that, despite these
struggles we may avoid, at the end of the day we know that
our lives would be better off if we led a more balanced
life. The Basics is what will guide you, help you
and console you through this journey of self-renewal.
Everyone is different. We react differently to certain
situations and challenges, however, everyone can benefit
from following a good piece of advice that has been proven
to work or change someone’s life for the better.
